Transition enjoyed an exciting pirate themed day filled with a range of fun and engaging activities. The children came to school dressed as pirates and become Mrs Gibbon’s crew mates for the day. Throughout the day they took part in a variety of pirate themed activities including a treasure hunt and designing their own pirate flag.
One of the highlights of the day was making their own pirate mocktails. The children decided what juices they wanted to mix and thought of some mocktail names such as ‘Tropical Treasure’ and ‘Sparkling seas’. The children applied their understanding of capacity and measurement to carefully pour out 200ml of the fruit juices to create the drinks. They worked brilliantly as a team and particularly enjoyed tasting their mocktails.
The day was filled with enthusiasm, imagination and teamwork and it was a very enjoyable and memorable experience.
