Upper Two – History Off The Page 2026

2026-06-29T12:00:54+01:00

The Upper Two classroom was transformed into a 1940’s classroom for the morning, when ‘History Off the Page’ led an informative and enjoyable WW2 themed re-enactment day. Once Mr Shaw (our teacher) was in role, the Upper Two’s stepped into the shoes of evacuees and were soon dipping their nibs into ink pots to write down the morning prayer and calculate money problems with pre-decimalised coins. It became apparent after break that some of the class had undertaken several misdemeanours and broken 1940 rules (such as girls playing football!) at which Mr Shaw dealt out some severe (and fake) punishments, [...]

2026-06-29T11:57:55+01:00

Upper Two enjoyed a day of fun and reflection at the retreat centre at New Hall School to celebrate the end of their last academic year at the school. The day started with mass in the beautiful chapel, celebrated by Fr Martin, who spoke in the Homily of the ways in which we can value ourselves and reminded the children through the reading from Matthew’s Gospel, that God knows us and loves us and that his love is forgiving and unconditional. It was a wonderful way to begin the day and the staff's hearts were lifted by our class’s superb [...]

Upper One – Heinz Visit

2026-06-19T11:33:21+01:00

Upper One class visited Kraft, Heinz at the Shard last week for an exciting trip around their headquarters. The children were given the opportunity to pitch ideas on new sauces that they created in groups. Their concoctions were amazing and each group presented their ideas incredibly well. It was a brilliant trip for the children to experience. Well done.

2026-06-14T20:21:56+01:00

On Wednesday, we were delighted to take a small group of Lower 1 and Lower 2 pupils to New Hall School to attend the Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassador Training.  During the session, we learned how to identify the signs of bullying, how to support one another, and what steps we can take to make our school community the best environment possible. The pupils were highly engaged and full of excellent ideas.  We look forward to seeing how they implement the knowledge they have gained in the coming months.
