The Ursuline Preparatory School descended onto the Town Gate Theatre, Basildon for two nights on Tuesday and Wednesday for the bi-annual school production, Peter Pan. Everyone had been working on this mammoth project from the summer of last year to put on two amazing performances.
They showed true professionalism and steady confidence on the stage. All children in Lower Two and Upper Two gave exceptional performances showing character development, dynamic and energetic dancing, stage presence and comic timing-holding the audience in their hands!
Children in the Pre Prep Department charmed everyone with their singing and beautiful smiles, Intermediate gave delightful performances as cherubs and flower Fairies and Transition were daring islanders and graceful fairies. Lower One had everyone clapping and gasping with their gymnastic moves and their infectious enthusiasm in Crocodile Rock. Upper One nearly took the roof off the theatre with their very energetic pirate routines and endless smiles!
The Islanders fought bravely against the pirates, The Lost children found their homes with the Darling family, Minnie, John and Wendy found adventure, Peter and Tink kept Neverland under control and the Crocodile ate Hook! What a happy Ending!
