On Tuesday, 23rd June, a team of pupils from Lower and Upper Two enjoyed a fantastic day at the New Hall Science Fair, taking part in an exciting range of hands-on STEM activities.

Throughout the day, the children immersed themselves in a variety of experiences including designing, building and launching rockets, VR experiences and even using forensic evidence to solve a mock crime investigation. These activities encouraged teamwork, problem solving and scientific thinking.

As well as participating in the workshops, both teams proudly presented their own science investigations they have been working on over the last month. They were presented to a panel of judges and were highly commended for their well-planned and thoughtful investigations, as well as for the enthusiasm, confidence and passion with which they communicated their scientific ideas. One of our groups was recognised for their outstanding scientific knowledge and we were delighted to hear that the judges were so impressed that they are sending us a token, which we will pass on to the children next week.

The children were excellent ambassadors for the school demonstrating a genuine love of science throughout the day.
