On Wednesday 22nd February a mixed team from Lower and Upper 1 as well as a team from  Lower and Upper 2 to the District Tag rugby tournament at Old Brentwood’s Rugby club. All the children had a great time and played extremely well.

Lower and Upper 1 managed to reach the final having won all their matches in the group stage and semi-finals. They met Brentwood in the finals which proved to be a very tight contest and at full time the result was a two all draw. The organisers rightly decided they would both by crowned District champions. They are now through to the County finals which is due to be played in March.

Lower and Upper 2 managed to finish in first place from the group stage. They then played and beat Larchwood in the semi- finals to set up a final against St. Peter’s. The children played very well but were narrowly beaten into second place, the score ending up 2-1. The team however, qualified for the county finals and will play alongside Lower and Upper 1.

A great day and result for the school.
