New Playground Leaders

2025-10-10T09:19:13+01:00

This week we launched the exciting new initiative of ‘Playground Leaders’. Our enthusiastic Lower Two pupils have all received training on some traditional playground games and are now taking it in turns, at lunchtime, to lead anyone who wants to play in some fantastic fun activities. We have had games such as ‘chase the dragon’s tail’, ‘Duck-Duck-Goose’, throw and catch challenges, obstacle courses…….and we are only on day 3! The infants have embraced the new scheme as enthusiastically as the Lower Two children. We look forward to seeing what other fun will be had in the weeks ahead [...]

2025-10-09T09:53:52+01:00

Our school community have been bringing in cereal boxes and other food for Harvest Festival, all of which has now been donated to the Brentwood Food Bank. On Friday 3rd October we created a cereal box domino trail in the school hall. The whole school community piled into the hall and watched the very successful domino trail! Later that day we also had a whole school assembly based on the Harvest festival whereby we all enjoyed singing the Harvest Samba. We always appreciate the amazing support that our school community give us for these charitable events. [...]

Lower Two Quidditch Day at New Hall

2025-10-01T09:08:19+01:00

Lower Two were invited to take part in a Harry Potter-themed day at New Hall School. The magical experience began with a Sorting Ceremony, during which House Captains were chosen. Throughout the day, the children took part in a variety of exciting activities, earning points for their houses along the way. These points were then totalled to decide the winner of the Quidditch Cup. The children enjoyed a Herbology lesson, where they planted snake’s head fritillary bulbs and decorated their own pots. They also visited ‘Hagrid’s farm’, where they had the opportunity to handle or stroke a variety of animals, [...]

PFA Fun Day

2025-10-01T09:20:33+01:00

The children thoroughly enjoyed Fun Day on Monday. The event had originally been scheduled for the end of last term but was postponed due to the extreme heat. Fortunately, the sun still shone on the day, but the temperature was just right. A perfect temperature for bouncing, sliding, and making the most of all the exciting equipment.

The well – being wheel was also introduced;  The children were issued with the ’Ursuline Preparatory School Child Friendly Safeguarding policy’ that they took home to read with through with their parents.

Leavers Mass 2025

2025-08-14T08:02:27+01:00

The end of term was busy as normal and quite sad as we said goodbye to a wonderful class of individuals that we have seen blossom and develop into well rounded individuals ready to go forward to their next phase of their education.  The school enjoyed their end of term especially watching the photographs that Mrs Macdonald had retrieved from the archives.   The leavers mass attended by the parents and  celebrated by Cannon John was a very special and emotional service.   The traditional and final event of the hat throwing was witnessed by most of the school as a vast [...]
