Father Matus visited the school today to celebrate mass for the Feast of our school’s Patron Saint, St. Ursula. The children in Lower Two led our liturgy, reading, serving and singing beautifully. It was the first time that Father Matus had celebrated mass at our school and during his homily he used the analogy of a Scalextric car racetrack to explain that God has a plan for us all and we can choose the ‘speed’ at which we go. He talked to the children about St. Ursula’s courage and explained that although St Ursula is an inspiration to us all, we do not need to make grand gestures and how we can all be saints by being kind to each other. He concluded that, by simply being kind to one another we can change the world.
Thank you to Lower Two and all of the members of staff who made today’s mass such a special event, it was lovely to see so many parents, grandparents and friends join us in our celebration.
