After School Care

The school appreciates that a parent’s working day is often longer than the school day. We have therefore introduced an after school care facility to accommodate those that require this extra time.

The after-school care:

  • Runs from 10 minutes after the normal school dismissal time or after school clubs.
  • All children not collected after that time will be put into after school care, and will be charged accordingly.
  • The system will be supervised by qualified teaching staff – 3.15 to 5.15 p.m.
  • It is be only open to children from Intermediate upwards.
  • Once the children go into after-school care they will be given a snack and a drink.

Then they will be allowed to do their homework, watch a DVD or play board games. However, this session will not be a teaching session.

Parents must book a place in advance and only through Mrs. Downes or Ms. Hammond. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis; there are approximately 20 places available. They can be booked half-termly in advance.

Parents will be charged per hour or part of an hour up to a maximum of 2 hours. The cost will be £5 per hour. This will be added to your termly bill.

If parents book a place in advance they must cancel within 24 hours notice or they will be charged for the care.

Parents may request that children join the after-school care after they have finished a club, and will be charged accordingly.
