Religious Education
As a Catholic school the teaching and learning in Religious Education is embedded in the life and ethos of the school. Weekly whole-school and Key Stage assemblies form a regular part of our worship and Mass is celebrated on significant feast days. Important events in the Church’s year are recognised through special liturgies such as the Christingle Service, the Reconciliation Service and the Easter Play performed by our Upper 2 pupils.
The children follow a Religious Education programme entitled ‘The Way, the Truth and The Life’ through which they explore and learn from the Catholic faith as well as about it. This is taught in an inclusive way and in relation to other Christian denominations, as well as world faiths.
