ISA Football Nationals Tournament 2022
On Friday 11
th March a boy’s team from Upper Two took part in the ISA football Nationals. Which was held at St George’s park the home of England’s football Association's national football centre. There were 28 teams divided into four pools for the opening rounds, the boys managed to win 4 and draw twice.
This meant they had qualified for the quarter finals, unfortunately they lost their next three games and did not progress any further in the tournament. However, they played some good football and were a really credit to the school. I am sure they will never forget their day played in an inspirational place.
ISA 5-a-side football tournament 2022
The boys in Upper Two travelled to Alleyn Court today for the ISA 5-a-side football
tournament. I am thrilled to tell you that despite some very strong opposition the boys
played valiantly and have now qualified for the National Competition at St. George’s Park,
Burton-upon-Trent in March.
As part of the Junior school curriculum the children have regular football lessons. There is also Football Club which is offered to all children in the Junior classes.
The school competes in numerous tournaments including local league and cup competitions, as well as regional and national tournaments.
ISA Football 2020
On Friday 31st January, a boys' team from Lower Two and Upper Two travelled to Alleyn Court school for the annual ISA Regional Football 5 a-side Tournament. In total, there were 20 schools competing, the boys played very well managing to finish in 5th position overall. They played against four other schools in the group round with the following results:

The play off for 5th/6th place was against Littlegarth which Ursuline won 3-0.
Alleyn Court Football Tournament 2019
Boys from Upper One and Lower One went to Alleyn Court in Southend for a Football Tournament on Thursday 10
th October. They played very well only losing one game out of seven matches. It was a great experience which will hold them in good stead for the future.
Shenfield Football Cup 2019
On Thursday 3rd October boys from Upper and Lower Two participated in the Shenfield Cup Tournament. The boys played exceptionally well, winning all of their pool games and progressing through to quarter and semi-finals. In the final they met St. Helen's and it proved to be a very tight contest, with the match being goal-less at full-time. The Tournament was decided by a golden goal, which was scored by the Ursuline! Congratulations to Mr Lewis and the team on an excellent winning achievement.

Chigwell Football 2019
The boys competed in their first matches of the season at Chigwell School Football Festival. They were undefeated throughout the day, winning 4 games and drawing 2. A great start to the season! Well done boys.
Inter-house Football 2019
Well done to all the Juniors who competed in the Inter-House Football on Thursday 28th March. It was a very close event with all the children doing their best to represent their house. The final result was St. Patrick 1st, St. David 2nd, St. Andrew 3rd and St. George 4th.
Brentwood School Football Tournament 2019
On Friday 15
th March, the boys from Lower Two and Upper One played in the Year 5 Brentwood football tournament. All the boys played very well with the team managing to win all their three pool games, in the second round they narrowly lost two games by one goal and drew their final match. Their final placing of third place out of 16 schools was a great achievement.

Year 1 Football Tournament 2019
On Tuesday 5th March the boys from Intermediate took part in a 5-a-side football tournament which was held at Shenfield School.
Excitements levels were very high, as for most this was their first ever tournament! They played very well, winning two games and losing 3. It was evident by their smiles how much they enjoyed the experience.
Alleyn Court Football 2018
On Thursday 11th October the football team from Year 3 and 4 travelled to Alleyn Court in Southend for a football tournament. The boys played exceptionally well winning 5 games and qualified to play in the final. They finished the day very worthy runners-up! The boys were a credit to themselves and to the school.
Chigwell Football Festival 2018
On Saturday, 8th September, we took a football team of boys from Upper Two, Lower Two and Upper One to Chigwell School for their annual football festival. As it was a festival there were no winners or losers, but the boys enjoyed themselves immensely with each team playing seven matches. The boys played very well winning six matches and drawing one. Congratulation to the team on a great start to the season.
Brentwood Small School League 2018
On 3
rd May the boys from Upper One, Lower Two and Upper Two played their last game of the season. The match was played against Larchwood and the boys played extremely well winning the game by 6 goals to 3. This win means the boys won the league and are now the Brentwood Small Schools' Champions.
Inter-house Football 2018
The annual Inter-House Football competition was held on 22nd March. It was a very close event with all the boys from the juniors participating and trying their best. The final result was, St. Andrew 4th, St. David 3rd and St. George 1st.
Six-a-side Football Tournament 2018
On Friday 9th March footballers from Lower Two and Upper one competed in the Brentwood School Year 5 Football Tournament. The boys played well as a team, winning three games, drawing one and losing two of their six matches.
Five-a-side Football Tournament 2018
On Tuesday 6
th March, the boys from Transition took part in a five-a-side football Tournament held at Shenfield High School. They played very well winning two games and losing one. Unfortunately, this was not quite good enough to go through to the semi-final stage.

They had to play five matches in their pool with the winner going through to the finals, they did very well and managed to win four of their games but this was not quite good enough for them to reach the final stage.

Shenfield School Organise Football Tournament for Primary Schools 2017
On Thursday 5
th October a team made up of boys from the top three junior classes competed in a football tournament at Shenfield School. There were four other schools competing in their league. The boys acquitted themselves well, finishing with a win, a draw and two 1 - 0 losses.
Chigwell Football Festival 2017
On Saturday 16th September a mixed football team travelled to Chigwell School for a football festival. As it was a festival there were no winners or losers, but the boys did have plenty of game time with each team playing five matches. They had a great time although slightly tired towards the end.

Inter House Football 2017
This event went ahead despite the very inclement weather! All of the boys from the Junior school were invited to play and represent their house. The winning house this year was St. George, followed by St. David's in 2nd place, St. Patrick's 3rd and St. Andrew's 4th.
Brentwood School U10 Tournament 2017
On Friday 10th March, pupils from Year 3, 4 and 5 were invited to attend this six-a-side tournament. They all played very well, winning three games out of the six they played. The team is pictured below.
Transition Football Tournament 2017
The boys had a great time in their first football tournament at Shenfield High School on Tuesday, 7
th March. They won two matches, lost one and drew their last game. The boys all played really well and were a credit to the school. Please see team pictured below.

Shenfield School Football 2016
On Tuesday, 1
st November, the boys from Lower and Upper One played in a Football Tournament at Shenfield School. The boys from both classes did extremely well with Upper One reaching the semi-finals. Lower One managed to reach the finals but narrowly lost 2 - 1 in extra time.
ISFA U11 Football Tournament
On Friday 30th September a team of boys from Upper and Lower Two travelled to Chigwell School to compete in a football tournament. They played 4 games in the pool stage, losing 3 and winning 1.

On Friday 11
th March, the boys from Lower 2 and Upper 1 played in the Brentwood (Year 5) six-a-side Tournament. All the boys played very well with the team managing to win three games out of their six matches.
ISA Regional Football 2016
On Tuesday, 2nd February, the boys from Lower and Upper 2 travelled to Stoke College for the annual ISA Regional Football 5-a-side tournament. In total there were 24 schools competing; the boys played every well in the pool stage finishing second in the group. They carried on into the quarterfinals where they played Alleyn Court A; at the end of full time the score was 0 - 0. Unfortunately, in the three minutes extra time they lost to a golden goal.
Shenfield School hosts football tournament
On Friday 15
th January 2016 the boys from Upper and Lower two participated in a football tournament held at Shenfield school. The boys did very well in the pool stage winning all their games and were placed into the semi-finals. Unfortunately they lost this game 3-1 but finished the tournament in 3
rd position out of twelve teams, a great effort by them all.

th September 2015 we took two football teams to Chigwell School for a football festival. As it was a festival there were no winners or losers, but the boys did have plenty of game time with each team playing seven matches. They had a great time although slightly tired towards the end!
Inter House Football 2015
Just before the Easter break the school held the Inter House Football Competition. The games were played in good spirit with boys from all of the Junior classes taking part. It was a very close event with three teams, St. Patrick's, St. George's and St. Andrew's all finishing on the same number of points, resulting in a three way tie!
Under 8 Football Competition
The ‘Super Seven’ boys from Lower One competed in a 5-a-side Football Tournament held at Shenfield School together with 8 other schools from within the district. It was a very exciting competition where the boys progressed all the way to the final after a very exciting penalty shootout in the qualifying semi-final. The penalty shootout started with the first three boys netting their goals, then sudden death! On the sixth shot the boys were victorious! The team met St. Mary’s in the final and after a gallant effort narrowly lost 2 – 1. The tournament was a great experience for all the boys which they thoroughly enjoyed.
ISA National Football 2015
On Friday 13
th March a group of boys from Upper and Lower Two took part in the ISA footbal Nationals, which was held at The Royal Dixie Grammar school near Leicester. There were 28 teams divided into four pools for the opening rounds. The boys managed to win 3, draw 1 and lose twice at this stage meaning they went through to the plate competition. To qualify for the plate final they had to win their next pool unfortunately, they were unable to do so drawing twice and losing the other game. To sum the whole tournament up, the boys played some good football at times and were rewarded by finishing 14
th out of the 28 and were a great credit to the school. Please visit the school

ISA Regional Football 2015
Once again this year the boys from Lower and Upper Two travelled to Stoke College for the annual ISA Regional Football 5 a-side Tournament. In total there were 18 schools competing. We entered an A and B team. Both teams did very well in the pool stages; the A team progressing to the quarter-finals and the B team going through to the Plate competition. Unfortunately for the B team the Plate competition had to be cancelled due to the poor state of the pitches; the A team managed to go all the way to the final which is a superb achievement! Even though they lost this final match they finished the tournament as runners-up which meant they qualify to compete in the National event of this competition to be held later this month. All the boys should be congratulated on this accomplishment especially due to the terrible conditions that they had to play in. The photographs below, taken at the end of the competition, show how wet and muddy the conditions were!
Football Premier League Tournament 2015
On Wednesday 14
th January the first tournament of the new year took place boys at Shenfield School. The Ursuline Prep entered a team of boys from Lower and Upper Two. The boys played really well and only lost one match with a score of 1 – 0. This put them in the play-offs for 3
rd and 4
th positions, which they managed to win. This meant they came 3
rd overall. Well done to Mr. Lewis and the boys.
Littlegarth U9 Football Tournament 2014
We took part in an u9’s football tournament on Monday 17
th November at Littlegarth School against seven other schools. The boys were initially drawn into a pool with three other teams, they began well winning the first game but unfortunately lost the next two and as a result were placed into the plate competition.
With there only being four teams in the plate we went straight into the semi-finals, it was a close game but they came through by two goals to nil. The final was an even closer affair and at full time the score was one all which meant the game went to penalties. The boys did extremely well managing to hold their nerve and win the shoot-out meaning they became winners of the plate competition.
Chigwell Football Tournament 2014
On Friday, 3rd October, the boys’ football team from Upper and Lower Two travelled to Chigwell school for a football tournament. There were four groups in the pool stages. We were drawn in Group ‘A’ with four other schools Howe Green House, Aldwickbury, Brentwood School and Loyola Prep.
The opening game was against Howe Green House; the boys played particularly well managing to score seven goals to nil. Our next opponents were Aldwickbury, they proved to be a stronger outfit and we lost by three goals to nil. In the next game we played Brentwood School, they were first to score but we quickly drew level only to be beaten in the dying minutes two goals to one. The final match of the pool stage we were pitted against Loyola - it was a close encounter with the final score being one all.
Unfortunately, as we finished outside the top two of our pool we were not able to progress further in the tournament, but the boys played very well and this competition will be invaluable experience for the rest of the season.

Shenfield School Football Tournament U8's
On Wednesday 2
nd April the School, for the first time, entered a team of boys from Transition for a four-a-side football tournament. The children had a very enjoyable time and showed some great footballing skills. There were thirteen other schools competing. They played 7 games in total, winning 5 and drawing 1. They qualified for the final where they played against St. Mary’s ‘A’ team and lost for the first time 3 – 0. The boys were a credit to themselves and to the School, finishing in a very credible 2
nd place!
National ISA 5-a-side Football 2014
Following on from their success at the regional event of this competition, the boys from Upper and Lower Two took part in the ISA National 5-a-side Tournament, which was held on Friday 14
th March at Dixie Grammar School, near Leicester.
They were 24 teams competing in total. We were placed in pool 'D' with five other schools. After the first round of the tournament we had won four games and lost two. We were one of the three teams that finished with an equal amount of points at the top of our pool but the two other teams had a better goal difference and therefore we were placed in the Plate competition. We managed to win two of the next three games and finished the tournament in 12
th place overall. The boys should be congratulated on a very successful performance.
ISA Regional Football 5 a-side Tournament 2014
On 25th February the boys from Upper and Lower Two travelled to Stoke College to play in the ISA Regional 5-a-side tournament. We entered an 'A' and 'B' team. The 'B' team managed to win two games in their pool which took them through to the Plate competition. In the next round they played Cambridge International and lost which meant they were knocked out of the competition, although this experience will hold them in good stead in the future.
The 'A' team managed to win all five games in their pool matches and were put through to the quarter finals where they met Littlegarth and managed to win 1-0. Alleyn Court awaited them in the semi-finals which proved to be a very close game and was decided on penalties - both our keeper and penalty takers were exceptional and we won 2-0. The final against Colchester High proved to be another very close game which went to ‘Golden Goal’ in the dying minutes of extra time. Unfortunately Colchester was the first to score which meant we finished as runners-up. All the boys were a credit to themselves and the school.
Their finishing position means that they qualify for the national event of this competition which is due to take place on Friday 15
th March at Dixie Grammar School in Leicestershire.
